The Tenth Conference of Parties to the Nairobi Convention (COP10)
The tenth Conference of Parties (COP10) organized by the Nairobi Convention in collaboration with the Government of Madagascar is scheduled for 23-25 November 2021, 9.30 – 13.30 EAT. Due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, UNEP Nairobi Convention Secretariat will host this meeting virtually.
The Conference will review the implementation of COP9 decisions and adopt a work programme for the 2022-2024 period. During the Conference, a Chair, a Vice-Chair (for Work Programme), a Vice Chair (for Resource Mobilization, a Vice Chair (for Coordination), and a Rapporteur shall be elected from among the representatives of the Contracting Parties to constitute a Bureau for the next inter-session.
A meeting of National Focal Points to facilitate informal negotiations on specific elements of the COP agenda, paving the way for decision-making at the COP10 was held on 21 and 22 October 2021.
