Framework for Private Sector Engagement
The role of the private sector is key to enhancing ecosystem conservation and protection and meeting the Sustainable Development Goals. The NC’s Strategic Framework for Private Sector Engagement highlights recommendations to engage sectors as fisheries or tourism.

Combating maritime litter
A team of researchers has explored new ways to fight ocean pollution. A new study is the first to document the bulk of existing solutions–technologies as well as methods–regarding the prevention, monitoring, and clean-ups of maritime litter. The scientists studied close to 200 solutions that plan to utilize drones, robots, conveyor belts, nets, pumps, or filters, depending on whether they will clean in coastal areas, at sea, or on the ocean floor.

Job opportunities
There are several openings for a Consultant – Climate Change Vulnerability Assessments in Selected Coastal Communities in Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Madagascar at the United Nations Environment Programme.
