A Task Force established under the Nairobi Convention has been leading the development of the Western Indian Ocean Regional Ocean Governance Strategy. To this end, the Task Force, working with a support team has successfully held several thematic technical dialogues, whose content and outcomes inform the Regional Ocean Governance Strategy. The Task Force comprises of representatives from the regional governments, RECS and relevant Commissions, and non-state actors from the private sector, academia, and more.
