Tanzania Forest Services Agency (TFS) is a semi-autonomous government Executive Agency. The Agency is mandated to sustainably undertake conservation, development and utilization of national forest and bee resources so that they contribute to the social, economic, ecological and cultural needs of present and future generations. The specific role and responsibilities of TFS are designed towards achieving efficient and effective management of forest and bee resources, promoting the potential for the continuous improvement of the quality and value for money on the delivery of public services.
The Nature Conservancy is a global conservation organization dedicated to conserving the lands and waters on which all life depends. Guided by science, it creates innovative, on-the-ground solutions to the world’s toughest challenges so that nature and people can thrive together. One of its core values is its commitment to diversity. The Nature Conservancy is committed to a globally diverse and culturally competent workforce. Working in 72 countries, it uses a collaborative approach that engages local communities, governments, the private sector, and other partners.
The Universidade Eduardo Mondlane (UEM) is the oldest and largest university in Mozambique. Located in Maputo, with student population of about 40,000 (of which around 3,300 are pursuing postgraduate courses), the UEM is a multidisciplinary institution for the training of professionals of higher education, research, extension and mastery and cultivation of human knowledge.

They are a university open to the Region and the World and they intend, with this portal, to offer another channel of interaction and communication with the whole society. The Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) was established as a regional, non-profit, membership organization in 1993 and registered in Zanzibar, Tanzania in 1994 as a non-governmental organization. The organization is dedicated to promoting the educational, scientific and technological development of all aspects of marine sciences throughout the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region (consisting of 10 countries: Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Comoros, Madagascar, Seychelles, Mauritius, Réunion (France)), with a view toward sustaining the use and conservation of its marine resources. WIOMSA has a particular interest in linking the knowledge that emerges from research to the management and governance issues that affect marine and coastal ecosystems in the region.
Wetlands International is a global organisation that works to sustain and restore wetlands and their resources for people and biodiversity. It is an independent, not-for-profit, global organisation, supported by government and NGO membership from around the world. Based mostly in the developing world, it has 20 regional, national or project offices in all continents and a head office in Ede, the Netherlands (see Map of our offices). Tackling problems it works in over 100 countries and at several, very different scales to tackle the most pressing problems affecting wetlands.
