This document profiles the decisions of the Sixth Conference of the Contracting Parties (COP) to the Convention for the Protection, Management and Development of the Marine and Coastal Environment of the Eastern African Region (Nairobi Convention). The theme of the meeting was Sustaining Progress
The 10th Conference of Parties Meeting took place over the course of 3 days: 23 - 25 November 2021.
The Nairobi Convention holds meetings of its Contracting Parties every two years to review the implementation of their decisions. The ninth meeting of the Contracting Parties, held from 29 to 31 August 2018 in Mombasa, Kenya, was divided into two segments: Technical Experts meeting on 29 August 2018 and a heads of delegation meeting on 30 and 31 August 2018. At the heads of delegation meeting, 15 decisions were adopted.
