I am an environmental earth scientist with a bias in coastal processes and marine ecosystems conservation and management, specifically shoreline instability and beach erosion vulnerability assessment and monitoring. I also have research interests in near shore sediment and hydrodynamics influencing beach morphological dynamics.
I am also engaged in assessment of environmental accountability and governance systems in small and artisanal extractive and mining processes. I do habitats mapping for sustainable restoration and conservation.
I have a M.Sc Zoology with special skills in Marine Spatial Planning and a background in coastal ecology.
Currently, I function as a Science Communicator for the Sustainable Seas Trust. Sustainable Seas Trust (SST) is a science-based organisation that works to protect Africa’s marine resources for the benefit of all who live on the continent.
Worked with sustainable ecosystem based marine management for regional and national governmental agencies in Sweden since 2006. Coordinating transboundary collaboration and planning at different scales: from local to international. Priorities are creating and strengthening networks and collaborations contributing to a sustainable society. During 2012-2019, responsible for coordinating the regional development of one of three MSPs in Sweden.
