The Nairobi Convention in collaboration with WIOMSA and other partners are convening the 2021 Science to Policy Dialogue over three days from the 23rd – 25th March 2021.
This year’s theme is: Transitioning to a Sustainable Blue Economy in the WIO region: Addressing the challenges and harnessing opportunities
The Nairobi Convention will be hosting a National Focal Points meeting whose purpose will be to facilitate informal negotiations on specific elements of the COP agenda.
The meeting was held between 21-22 October 2021, at 9.30 -13.30 EAT daily.
The Nairobi Convention holds meetings of its Contracting Parties every two years to review the implementation of their decisions. The ninth meeting of the Contracting Parties, held from 29 to 31 August 2018 in Mombasa, Kenya, was divided into two segments: Technical Experts meeting on 29 August 2018 and a heads of delegation meeting on 30 and 31 August 2018. At the heads of delegation meeting, 15 decisions were adopted.
