I have great interest in artisanal fisheries research, coral reef resilience, management and conservation.
Lenice currently serves as a project manager (Science & Policy) for CORDIO East Africa. She has over nine years of experience working on development-focused projects from 2010, transitioning to more research-oriented work in 2014. Her past six years have focused on transforming coastal and marine resource management within Western Indian Ocean region (WIO) through research, encompassing multilevel climate change adaptation and governance; community-based natural resource management with a focus on artisanal fisheries management and community-driven management of marine litter.
Coral reef ecologist, specializing in reef resilience aspects and coral bleaching, coral reef monitoring and coordination of regional reef ecology data aggregation.
Michael is a social scientist with an interest in understanding why people work together for sustainable resource use. He specializes in ocean governance, co-management, fisheries conflict, and science-policy engagement on complex social-ecological challenges. He uses inquiry-based techniques inform research, management and policy on global environmental change.
