In 2019, Madagascar was chosen as one of three countries to participate in the Sida funded SWIOFC-Nairobi Convention partnership project focused on Marine and Coastal Governance and Fisheries Management for Sustainable Blue Growth. The project aims to address concerns related to fisheries and the environment through coordinated interventions.
